He grew up in a small town in Upper Franconia in Germany. His Dad, a professional Mountain Guide, introduced him to skiing when he was still a child. He soon got better and had the opportunity to join his dad on the ski trips he offered in his own Alpine & Ski-School “ROCK’nd SNOW”. It was obvious that he became a ski instructor as soon as he was 16. After finishing High School, he wanted to live closer to the Alps, so he started a Bachelor’s program with focus on Marketing at the University of Innsbruck, Austria.
During his studies, he already started to do the marketing part at “ROCK’nd SNOW”. After graduating last year, he spent a summer in Seattle, USA as an intern at MSR’s marketing department. Afterwards he continued with his studies and graduated as a Master of Science in Strategic Management in summer 2019. Furthermore, he is co-managing „ROCK’nd SNOW“ where he especially does all the Online-Marketing. He is a very experienced skier in the backcountry and knows also how to guide people.
Stefan grew up in Memmingen in the Allgäu. In his childhood, he went skiing with friends and his dad, who taught him the most about skiing, in the Allgäu Alps and Arlberg. These excursions went down on-piste as well off-piste, what extended his view on the mountains and the possibilities of the terrain. When Stefan was 16 years old he got his first pair of twin tip skis and went to the snow parks to make his slopestyle experiences. After finishing High School, he started a Bachelor’s program in “Management and Economics” with focus on marketing where he met Andy.
Besides the skiing in the snow parks around Innsbruck, Stefan was more and more skiing in the backcountry, where he developed his way of looking at the sport and on what was making him happy about it. In this time he made his ski instructor apprenticeship (Level 2). He already skied on most of the continents while he explored Canada, Kashmere, Japan or Patagonia. Afterwards he continued with his studies and graduated as a Master of Science in Strategic Management at the University of Innsbruck in 2018. Beside the studies he is ready for new ideas, plans and hopefully for new travels based on skiing and new experiences.
Christopher’s childhood started in Regensburg. In the age of five he learned skiing in the nearby mountains of Bayerischer Wald. So he got caught by the mountain fever. Every year he spent weeks in the alps, for hiking and skiing. While preparing for finishing High School a yet unbroken passion for photography began. It all started with his first camera at the age of 16. Soon his pictures got selected for the National Geographic “Your Shot” competition.
Since then he developed his skills in nature, wildlife and sports photography. After finishing High School he decided to study Biology at the University of Innsbruck. Together with his childhood friend Stefan, he went on ski trips and shootings in the Snow park. Christopher graduated after a period of three years with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and started the Master program for Microbiology at the University of Innsbruck. He graduated as a Master of Science in 2018. Right now, he is in a Doctor’s program at the Technical University of Munich.
